Workshops

Partner with us today, and together we can make a positive impact on the future of our youth.

Our workshops are designed to provide current industry standard information, while learning from experts in the field, and connecting with like-minded peers. The goal is to have each student leave with practical steps on what they’ll need to do next, in order to see their vision come to life.

PODCAST WORKSHOP

Our podcast workshop was developed to help young people articulate their vision for the things they’re most passionate about.

Students will walk in with their email, and leave knowing the next steps needed to start their own podcast. We’ll provide them with resources, discuss the challenges, and walk them thru it step by step to make things practical as they begin their journey towards building their own business or brand.

We believe in our young people, and know the visions they have can change our world.

INSIDE MONROVIA

Inside Monrovia was a public access television show created in collaboration with students, community members, young people, and KgemTV.

Through the process, students learned what it takes to produce, direct, host, and edit a television show. We look forward to bringing more young people’s visions to life thanks to our partnership with KgemTV and the Spectrum network.

SOCKS FOR THE BLOCK

We all know how good a fresh pair of socks makes us feel, but did  you know 2pairs of socks can keep your feet & hands warm on cold night?

Our Socks for the Block initiative was how we were able to provide socks to unhoused families, and folk in our community while partnering with local businesses.

With the help of local barbershops, beauty salons, and independent businesses we collected hundreds of pairs of socks, and were able to get them to the people who needed them with the help of our friends at Good Companie Ministries.

BUILD YOUR BRAND WORKSHOP

We understand that entrepreneurship is a challenge composed of several layered aspects. One of them being how you bring awareness to your brand or product one it’s been created.

PR + Brand Strategist, and founder of SDP Digital Sasha Pisterman shared her wealth of knowledge with the teens. She’s worked with Live Nation, Meta, PepsiCo, Warner Music Group, and several artist like Jennifer Lopez, the Black Eyed Peas, and DJ Mustard to name a few.

HOMETOWN CLEANUP

Here’s how you can make a difference in your neighborhood in one hour:

  1. Find a location in your neighborhood that needs cleaning. (Street, Park, Shopping Center, or even a parking lot.)

  2. Assemble your team by reaching out to friends/family with a day and time you’d like to meet. (Share it on your socials)

  3. Meet up at the spot on time with gloves, trash bags, and a smile.

  4. Fill up your bags with trash, take a pic with the team and use the hashtag #HometownCleanUp

Let's be leaders that take pride in our neighborhood by demonstrating how easy it is to make a difference.
